Rise’ Joiner Peters

Executive Choir Director

Risé Joiner Peters is a Houston native and the daughter of Gospel legend Shirley Joiner.  With many years of musical training and development, Peters has  captivated audiences worldwide, with her charismatic delivery and warm presentation. She’s a staple in the Gospel community and her musical stylings have been classified as traditional with a contemporary and sometimes urban flair.

Peters’ musical interests broadened and her love for various genres of music heightened while participating in church, school and community groups. Those experiences allowed her to join the internationally known Southeast Inspirational Choir (under the leadership of her mother) as well as Carl Preacher and  Brenda Waters. With this group, Peters' signature song "Inspire Me" topped gospel charts nationwide.

Peters finds great joy working with youth and young adults. Recognizing she stands on the shoulders of many musical giants, she is consistently purposeful about reaching back to help those coming behind her.

Risé  has shared the stage with many nationally known artists including Yolanda Adams, Vanessa Bell Armstrong, Donnie McClurkin, Twinkie Clark, Richard Smallwood, Donald Lawrence, V. Michael McKay, John P. Kee, CeCe Winans, Marvin Sapp, the late Thomas Whitfield, the late Daryl Coley, and the list goes on and on. She is currently a member and Vocal Director for Stellar Nominated Kathy Taylor and Favor, and you may hear her minister any given Sunday with the Windsor Village Church Family.
